Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan is a free service available to students, faculty, and staff. It can be used to request:
- articles not available through Archer Library databases or print periodicals collection;
- books unavailable through OhioLINK or SearchOhio;
- a copy of a single chapter from a book. Use the Article Request Form for a chapter request.
- for copies of a dissertation literature review, use the article request form and specify pages requested.
Article Request
Articles requested through interlibrary loan are e-mailed directly to the requester.
Book Request
Books requested through interlibrary loan are delivered to the main campus Library's Circulation Desk. Requesters will receive an e-mail informing them when items are ready to be picked up.
Accessing the forms
AU Login credentials are required to access ILL article and book request forms. This is the same information used to access Blackboard & AU email.
Having trouble accessing the forms? Be sure to LOG OUT of any personal Microsoft email account prior to use. Not doing so may result in inability to access the online form.
Reserves
Archer Library has traditional course reserves (books, DVDs, or music CDs) available for faculty use. These items are located at the library circulation desk, main floor. Instructors placing items on reserve determine length of the reserve period, hours or days, and whether the item may leave the library.
Questions about reserves?
Please contact Judi Humphrey, Head of Circulation & Reserves, at x5400.
Numismatic Center
The field of Numismatics has an important place within a university curriculum, as the historical study of coins and currency continues to shed new light on cultures of the past and serves as a guide for the socioeconomic policies of the future. The Leo and Laura Thomas Numismatic Center plays an active role in expanding this field of knowledge.
The Leo and Laura Thomas Numismatic Center, located on the sixth floor of Ashland University's Archer Library, is under the management of Robert C. (‘Bud’) Ingmand, who serves as volunteer director. Visit the Center to view and study its many fascinating displays!
At this time the Numismatic Center does not have regular hours, but we would love to give you a tour.
