Program Overview

The Master of Reading and Literacy program is designed to help classroom teachers at the elementary and secondary levels deepen their understanding of literacy processes, purposes and development and to broaden their range of instructional and assessment approaches. This prepares you to have the greatest possible impact on your students’ learning.

You will develop the confidence to make evidence-based instructional decisions in your classrooms and to advocate for appropriate practices with parents, colleagues, administrators and policymakers.

There is a five-year limit on literacy coursework that can be transferred into this program.
